57th St. Catharines Group

Scouts Canada

For more than 100 years, Scouts Canada has brought a world of adventure, outdoor experience, friendship and fun to 17 million Canadian youth. Scouts have fun youth- led adventures discovering new things and  experiences they wouldn’t discover elsewhere. Along the way they develop  into capable, confident and well-rounded individuals, better prepared  for success in the world. Scouts is the start of something great. It starts with Scouts.

- Scouts Canada, About

Scouts Programing

Scouting makes a difference  in the lives of children, youth and young adults. Providing youth-led  opportunities, members determine what areas they would like to grow in  as they achieve new “firsts” and develop into global citizens. With a  versatile array of program areas to focus on, Scouting welcomes youth  with diverse interests and goals. Through Scouting, youth are more likely to demonstrate greater  self-confidence and optimism about what the future holds and how they  will impact it. They express a strong sense of civic responsibility and  environmental awareness, extending their “pay it forward” attitude to  the community. They become more healthy, energetic, outgoing,  conscientious and compassionate – and they have a lot of fun! In  Scouting there can be found a stimulating environment and inclusive  community – cultivating the youth of today to become the contributors of  a better tomorrow. Scouts is the start of something great.

57th Scout Troop Bottle Drive Fundraiser

The 57th Scout Troop that meets at the Grantham Optimist Hall at 188 Linwell Road are asking you to save all your returnable bottles.

They are using the bottle drive as a fundraiser to replace all of our Troop's personal flotations devices, all 40 of them.

Canoeing is a large part of our Scouting program at the 57th and many of our personal flotation devices  have become worn and tired from many years of use.

If you are willing to donate, please contact this website or by phone at (905) 646-2215, and we will arrange a pick-up time that would best suit you.

Thank you in advance for your help.
